Hellen Caroon Hardison, 90, of Alliance, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehab Center.
A devout Christian, she is a member of Bayboro Missionary Baptist Church. She co-owned Hardison Tire & Oil Co. alongside her husband, Eldon Hardison, for many years. Mrs. Hellen will be remembered fondly as a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, S.E., Jim, Bob, Reg, Darrell, Cash, and Tom.
Those left to cherish her memory are her four sons, J.E. Hardison (Cheryl), Timmy Hardison (June), Gray Hardison (Phyllis), and Barry Hardison (Jennifer); sister, Glenda O’Neal; nine grandchildren, Ryan Hardison (Stephanie), Travis Hardison (Autumn), Tyler Hardison, Nicholas Hardison, Jillian Hardison, Crystal Hardison (Harvey Daniels, Jr.), Paige Potter (Jon), Chase Hardison (Makayla), Maci Hardison (Garrett Ham), and eight great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Fitzgerald and Pastor Dwayne Boyd officiating. Entombment will be in Paul Cemetery, Arapahoe.
The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Pamlico, PO Box 6, Bayboro, NC 28515.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grantsbrook Nursing, her caregivers, and Hospice of Pamlico along with a special thanks to her caregiver and friend, Rudell “Pepper” King.
