Hudson Lee Barnes

Hudson Lee Barnes, 26, of Cash Corner “Hollyville”, passed away tragically Friday, January 27, 2023.

Hudson was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hugh Jr. and Rachel Barnes; father, Francis “Mike” Barnes; grandmother, Anne S. Souder and husband, Ralph Souder; friend, Jason “Jake” Moore; and cousin, Daniel Barnes.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley M. Lemke and husband, George; two brothers, Dale Barnes and wife, Sierra C. Barnes and Nicholas “Nick” Barnes; daughter, Kynlee Grace Barnes; maternal grandparents, Kenny and Janie Miller; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends.

Hudson was a free-spirited soul, school just wasn’t his thing; however, he completed his GED.  He worked with Jamey Lupton Construction for several years. He learned many things alongside his granddaddy, Kenny. He volunteered with the Reelsboro Fire Department as a firefighter.

He was a loving son, brother, and father who was good-natured and tried to help those in need. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting his guns. Hudson was like a beautiful rose that had thorns to be dealt with. He will be truly missed.

His memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4 ^th at Mt. Zion OFWB Church, 1912 Lynch’s Beach Loop Rd. Cash Corner (Vandemere), NC. Semi-formal attire.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church.
