Hugh Hudson Barnes, Iv

Hugh Hudson Barnes IV, 49, of Grantsboro passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

He started his career as a commercial fisherman but later worked in logging.

Hugh was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Barnes; paternal grandparents, Hugh and Rachel Barnes; and maternal grandfather, Jimmy A. Simpson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Hugh Barnes III (Judy); mother, Wanda Nipper (Ricky); maternal grandmother, Judy Simpson; brother, Benjamin Michael Barnes (Brandy); sister, Laura Kathryn Canterbury; nephews, Taylor and Jordan; and nieces, Lily and Violet.

A memorial service to honor Hugh’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Word Fellowship Church.
