Jack Robert Lee

Mr. Jack Robert Lee, 97, of Arapahoe, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at his home.

Jack was a devoted member of Bethany Christian Church, where he faithfully served for many years as a deacon and church treasurer. His faith was an important part of his life, and he gave generously of his time, talents, and resources to support the church and those around him.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Jack carried with him the same sense of dedication and responsibility throughout his life. He was also the co-owner and operator of Don Lee Farms, Inc., where his strong work ethic and commitment to a job well done were evident to all who knew him. Jack was a very hard worker, and his life reflected the values of perseverance, generosity, and service.

Jack graduated from North Carolina State University with an agronomy degree. He believed in giving back to the institutions and organizations that meant so much to him and his community. He was a generous supporter and donor to North Carolina State University, Barton College, Camp Don-Lee, and Camp Caroline. Through his generosity, he touched many lives and helped support opportunities for others for years to come.

In his younger years, Jack developed a love for travel and had the opportunity to see much of the world. He traveled extensively, experiencing different places and cultures and creating memories that remained a cherished part of his life. Yet, despite the many places he visited, home and family always held a special place in his heart.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Dewey Lee; his wife, Gladys Lee; brother, Don Lee, Jr. and wife, Barbara; brothers-in-law, Buck Jones and Charlie Cook; and infant sisters, Marilyn Grace Lee and Anne Marie Lee.

He leaves behind his two sisters, Mrs. Iris Lee Jones of New Bern and Mrs. Rose Lee Cooke of Virginia Beach, along with several nieces and nephews who will cherish the memories they made with him.

A funeral service for Mr. Jack will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21st at Bethany Christian Church, with Rev. Merritt Watson and Rev. Amanda Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Don Lee Cemetery.
