James Edward Mayo

James Edward Mayo, 85, of Alliance passed away Friday, August 2, 2019, at home.

He was a member of Bayboro Baptist Church. He loved his work on the water and spent his entire life either as a tug boat captain or commercial fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Allena Paul Mayo; two brothers; one sister, and grandson, John Lupton.

He is survived by three sons, Edward Mayo & wife, Montine, Ricky Mayo and Timmy Mayo & wife, Kathy; daughters, Dianne Lupton and husband, Bruce, and Lorraine Mayo; sister, Ola Lewis; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; and his faithful canine companion, Misty.

His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6 ^th at Bayboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will following immediately in Celestial Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 5 ^th at Bryant Funeral Home.
