Jason "Jay" Albert Morris, Jr.

Jason “Jay” Albert Morris, Jr., 61, of Stella, formerly of New Bern, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Jason, Jay, or “Blueberry”, he would answer to all, was a man of great imagination, innovation, and heart. He was born in New Bern, NC and spent his adult life living around eastern North Carolina. He lived his life with a spirit few possess.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jason Albert Morris, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Ashley Bowers (Christopher); mother, Joyce Morris; two grandchildren; sister, Jane Morris Purser and her children; special friends, Haywood and Susan Gillikin and Tim and Margette Potter; along with many other loving extended family members and friends.

His memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 29th at Centenary United Methodist Church located at 309 New St. New Bern, NC 28560 officiated by Rev. Vann Spivey and Rev. Susan Pate-Greenwood. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Centenary Thru-the-Week School, c/o Centenary UMC, PO Box 1388, New Bern, NC 28563.
