John "Jack" Peter Herman
December 19, 1934 — June 28, 2023
John Peter “Jack” Herman, Jr., 88, of Oriental passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.
He is a member of Oriental First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Eric Scott Herman; daughter-in-law, Hermoine Salole-Herman; and brothers, Robert and William Herman.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carol Herman; son, Jeffrey Herman; daughter, Leslie Culbertson; sister, Emily Bell; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, WEB PO Box 97075, Washington, DC 20090-7075 or Oriental Frist Baptist Church, PO Box 313, Oriental, NC 28571.
