Johnathan Mayhugh Ireland

Johnathan Mayhugh Ireland, age 27, of Pamlico County, was called home by the Lord on April 10, 2024.

Johnathan, commonly known as "Jon" by family and friends, was born on May 29th, 1996, to William David Ireland and Ginger Ireland.

Jon was a free spirit, striving to make people laugh with his quick humor. He had a huge heart and would quite literally give you the shirt off his back even if that's the last thing he had. Jon loved all things nature, music, skateboarding, and fishing. His love for the water led him to be a commercial fisherman. While our hearts are shattered to lose our precious son and brother, we know we will meet with him again in Heaven. He is loved and will be missed tremendously.

Predeceased by his grandparents: Harold Lee Ireland, Juanita Mason, John E Shuck and Soon Ja Shuck.

Johnathan is survived by his parents, Ginger and William David Ireland; his brother, William Nathan Ireland and wife, Lauren Ireland; his sister, Brittany Pond and husband, Samuel Pond; and his niece, Sage Pond.

The family will have a private service on the 27th of April to celebrate his short but impactful life.
