Johnnie Marvin Ireland, 68, of Oriental passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

After completing high school Johnnie worked as a Merchant Marine. He then enjoyed his profession as a long-haul truck driver. Most recently he was employed with Nationwide Produce, William F. Tingle.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Marie Ireland.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a brother, Jerome “Jerry” Ireland, Jr.; sister, Wanda Sharon Ireland; a niece and nephew; close friends and caregivers, Bill Tingle and Hope Paul Gibson; as well as many other friends.

A memorial service to honor Johnnie’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 1st at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Pamlico Rescue, PO Box 302, Bayboro, NC 28515.
