Joseph Arnone

August 14, 1940 — March 15, 2022

Joseph Arnone, 81, of Oriental, NC passed away on 3/15/22 after battling a progressive illness.

Joe was born in Syracuse to James and Mary Arnone on August 14 th , 1940.  After graduating from Eastwood High School in 1958, he entered the Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1961. Joe graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and had a long and distinguished business career in management.

Anyone who knew Joe knew he was a charismatic man, intelligent and loving, with a quick wit. He was full of life and had a passion for learning, travel, and especially nature.  He loved to cook and expressed his love for others through his amazing home cooked and often grandiose meals.  Joe was proud of his Italian heritage, traveling to Italy many times over the years visiting family.

Joe is survived by his wife, Marilyn Arnone, and children, Steven and Melissa, Alexis and Sean, as well as grandchildren, Carter and Asher.  Joe is predeceased by his sister, Janet and survived by siblings Vivian, John, Linda, David, and Jenie.

A memorial service will be held on March 20 th at 2pm at Bryant Funeral Home in Alliance, NC. The service will also be aired virtually for those unable to attend.
