Josephine Pipkin Hopson

Josephine Pipkin Hopson, 89, of Grantsboro passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at The Gardens of Pamlico.

She is a member of Reelsboro Pentecostal Holiness Church where she enjoyed singing and being with her church family. Josephine worked with Gussman Cleaners for many years. She retired to take care of her grandchildren. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Viola Pipkin and sons, James Russell Boyette, Jr. and Joseph Westley Boyette.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda Hopson Hart (Scott); daughter-in-law, Linda Boyette; brothers, Floyd Earl Pipkin and Charlie William Pipkin (Edna); grandchildren, Tina Gaskins Brooks (Harry), Joshua Skinner, and Ariel Skinner; and great-grandchildren, Holley Brooks and Amarion Moore.

Her memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday, August 22nd at Reelsboro Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Reelsboro PH Church, 221 Neuse Rd, New Bern, NC 28560.
