Judith "Judy" Ballard Brown

Judith “Judy” Ballard Brown, 76, of Hobucken, NC, passed away on June 13, 2025, at CarolinaEast Medical Center surrounded by the love of her family.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Judy was a member of Lowland Church of Christ. Her greatest joy was found in caring for and spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren – a role she embraced with passion and unconditional love. Judy also delighted in traveling, dancing, and shopping with her dear friends, always bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis & Dolly Ballard; daughter, Laurie Brown Lupton; grandson, Jay Warren; brother, Skip Ballard; and mother-in-law, Loretta Brown Rogers.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 59 years, Vance M. Brown; her daughter, Alison B. Bennett (Hugh); son-in-law, Damon Lupton; brothers, David Ballard (Barbara) and Lewis S. Ballard, Jr.; grandchildren, Anthony Bennett, Corey Warren, Farrah Robles, Bryce Robles, and Marley Lupton; great granddaughter, Keira Bennett; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 16th at 2:00 p.m., with Brother Larry Scott officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
