Kathy Jo Lupton Barton, 67, of Bridgeton passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Crystal Coast Hospice House.

A beloved homemaker, Kathy devoted her life to nurturing her family. She embodied the role of mother and grandmother, radiating love and providing unwavering strength to her children. She took immense pride in supporting her boys through countless Boy Scout activities and baseball games. She shared her craft creativity with her granddaughters and enjoyed watching TV with her grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren “Captain Bob” and Sara Lupton; husband, Bruce Michael Barton; sister, Francis Hodowanic; and daughter-in-law, Annette Barton.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are sons, Christopher Wayne Barton (Melissa), Dustin Michael Barton (Jessica), and Jarrett Warren Barton (Sarah); sisters, Marjorie Davenport and Barbara Yusko; and grandchildren, Christal, Savannah, Austin, and Trevor Barton.

A funeral service to honor Kathy’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment will be in Oriental Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
