Kenneth "Kenny" Allen Mason

Kenneth (Kenny) Mason, 68, of Oriental passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024.

He will be missed by the many friends he had here in Pamlico County where he attended Pamlico High School and Craven County where he retired from D.O.T. in New Bern. Kenny was sweet, kind, and had a heart of gold and was loved by each and every one of them.

After retirement he and wife, Chris, pursued their lawn mowing business together plus Chris’ catering business.

He was preceded in death by parents, Jack and Ruth Mason; sister, Barry Sue Mason; and nephew, Daniel Ensley.

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Christine Doty; brother, Jack Mason (Faye); sisters, Jill Ensley and Gail Ruggerio; nieces and nephews, Sandy Vick, Michele Banish, Maria Lademan, Dara Rickles, Gary Mason, and Vicki Dunn; along with many great nieces and nephews.

His memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested making a donation to one’s favorite charity.
