Kenneth “Kenny” Evan Whorton, 61, of Bayboro passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at home.

Shortly after finishing school, Kenny began his career as a long-haul truck driver, hauling for over 25 years. He farmed simultaneously with McCotter Farms. After the sell of McCotter Farms, Kenny continued to work for Sackett Potatoes until his health declined.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Helen Whorton; sister, Annette Whorton; brother, Todd Whorton; and mother-in-law, Sally McCotter.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Kim Whorton; brother, Mark Whorton; step-son, Chris McCotter and his family; father and mother-in-law, Pat and Amy McCotter; brothers-in-law, David McCotter and Johnny Warren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor Kenny’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 30th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Concord Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
