Leroy Daniels Lupton, Sr.

LeRoy Daniels Lupton, Sr., 89, of Stonewall passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He was a member of Stonewall United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday school superintendent. He owned and operated Lupton’s Grocery Store, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, member of VFW and member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annabel Bland Lupton and brother, B. Waldo Lupton, Jr.

He is survived by two sons, Danny Lupton and wife, Ellen, and Tony Lupton and wife, Ruth; special friend, Santa Klotz; three grandchildren, Rick Lupton (Dawn), Josh Lupton and Kristen Woodworth (Matthew); and four great-grandchildren.

His funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 24 ^th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carol Grantham officiating. Interment will follow immediately in New Bern Memorial Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
