Lesley "Tom" Robinson

Lesley Thomas “Tom” Robinson, age 64, resident of Minnesott Beach, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at his home.

He graduated from the Air Force Academy and retired from the Air Force in 1998 as a Lt. Col.  During his military career, he held a wide variety of communication-electronic engineering duties in various assignments related to testing and evaluating Air Force weapon systems.  He also graduated from N.C. State University with an Electrical Engineering degree and a Masters of Science degree from Golden Gate University.

Tom was an endowed member of both Mt. Vernon Lodge #359 and Rainbow Lodge #479.  He was an active member of the Valley of New Bern Scottish Rite and honored as a Knight Commander Court of Honor.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Robinson; father, Lesley Robinson; daughter, Michelle Sersland & husband, Dustin; son, Christopher Robinson; and three grandchildren, Kyler, Tanner, and Carter Robinson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy “Pat” Robinson and sister, Judy R. Rash.

Masonic Rites will be held at Mt. Vernon Lodge at 10 AM and a private inurnment will be held at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, with military honors at 2 PM on Friday, May 14 ^th .

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to a charity of one’s choice or Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565.
