Linda Jean Buck

Linda J. Malkowski Rippe Buck, 71, of Bayboro and Ocracoke, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, at her home in Bayboro.

Growing up in the Chicago area, she learned a lot about music and its composition and was always an avid listener. She was the former owner of the Ocracoke Observer Newspaper and enjoyed time spent fishing with her husband, Ray. Linda attended Bay Creek Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Olga Violet Munday and father, Eugene Peter Malkowski.

Linda is survived by her husband, Allen Ray Buck; stepchildren, Allen R. Buck, Jr. (Brandi), Benjamin Joel Buck (Michelle), and Alison Buck Gaskill (Noah); and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 15th at Bay Creek Christian Church located at 31 Upper Neck Rd., Mesic, NC. A reception will follow immediately in the church fellowship hall.

Services in Ocracoke will be announced at a later date.
