Lynda Swindell Bray

Lynda Mae Swindell Bray, 84, of New Bern passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 18, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Massie Swindell; brother, Vernon Swindell (Lily); and sister, Alma Ferrell (Jake).

Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Tina Summa (Billy) of New Bern, Tim Bray of Clinton, SC, Henry Bray (Peggy) of New Bern and Shelby Wolf (Jeff) of New Bern; one brother, Samuel Swindell (Cathy) of Newport; child of heart, Jamie Centers (Anne); six grandchildren, Christina “Jeaneal” Davis (Jonathan Phillips), Royce Hill (Amy), Mallory Stephens (Jacob), Morgan Craft (Brandon), William “Bo” Wolf (Victoria ), and Shane Wolf; 15 great-grandchildren, Ashlyn & Shyane Davis, Tylan & Chasen Cannon, Kora Phillips, Chloe, Kaylee, Faith, Paislyn, & Isabella Hill, Bristol Stephens, Gaston Craft, Noah, Ezra, & Isaiah Wolf, and Charles and Luke Centers; and one great-great grandson, Asher Gray.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, April 22nd from 6-8 p.m at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home. Her graveside service will be held at 2 p.m on Tuesday, April 23rd at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to any Alzheimer or Dementia research organization of your choice.
