Marguerite Wallace Howard

Marguerite Wallace Howard, 94, of Grantsboro passed away Friday, August 4, 2023, at The Gardens of Pamlico.

Marguerite was a member of Oriental First Baptist Church and a very active and talented member of the prayer shawl ministry within the Methodist church organization. She loved to knit, sew and crochet. She also enjoyed dancing and playing Bunco.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O.D. and Agnes Wallace; her husband, W.T. Howard; brother, O.D. Wallace, Jr.; sister, Bettie Doyle Williams; and daughter, Judy Howard Branigin.

Mrs. Marguerite leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Lynn Howard Stiller (Sonny); three grandchildren, Brian Stiller (Joanne), Lisa Stiller Willis, and Maggie Stiller; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be held at a later date in Asheboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to The Gardens of Pamlico, 22 Magnolia Way, Grantsboro, NC 28529, or Gentiva Hospice, 1423 Glenburnie Rd., Suite A, New Bern, NC 28562.
