Marie Alfred Gaskins

Marie Harvey Alfred Gaskins, 92, of Arapahoe, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Ayden, NC.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her until she was 13, Frederick Roberts Alfred and Mary Johna Harvey Alfred; her parents, Halstead & Josephine Baily Alfred; her husband of 53 years, Ellsworth Gaskins; grandson, Timothy Gorton; sisters, June Knaup and Dell Matthews.

She is survived by her son, Ellsworth Gray Gaskins, Jr. and wife, Allyson; daughters, Debra Leggett & husband, Mark, and Susan Gorton; brother, Frederick Roberts Alfred III; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 18 ^th at Cuthrell Cemetery in Aurora.
