Martha "Diane" Sadler Tompkins

Martha Diane Sadler Tompkins, 78, of Hobucken, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by family.

Diane was a devoted woman of faith and a longtime member of Hobucken Methodist Church, now known as Hobucken Community Church. For more than 20 years, she faithfully served as the church pianist, sharing her musical gift and bringing comfort and inspiration to countless worship services and church gatherings.

Diane was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and deep love for her family. She cherished the time spent with those she loved and took great pride in watching her family grow through the generations. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved cats, who brought her much companionship and happiness over the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Tompkins; her parents, Mitchell and Martha Sadler; and her sisters, Frances Robinson and Peggy Hopkins.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Julie Potter (Rex), Sara Woolard, and Becky Atkins (Jim); brother, Mitchell Sadler (Ann); 10 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roach officiating. Private inurnment will be in Barnett Cemetery, Hobucken.
