Martha Rolison Gaskins departed this earth August 28th, 2024. She was the first born of Harold Thomas and Mary Laura Pipkin Rolison on October 15, 1952.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 44 years, Walt Timothy Gaskins; her daughter, Kristen Leigh Gaskins McFadden (Todd); stepdaughter, Teresa Machle; grandsons, Trevor (Makayla), Jordan and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Tate; sister, Jenny Fornes (Dale); niece, Jennifer Doucette, Warren Fornes, and Jarod Fornes; great niece, Charlotte; great nephews, Aiden, Salter and Colin; and special friends, Jamey & Kim.

She is preceded in death by her parents; nephews, Justin Fornes and Joshua Heath; many cousins, Danny Oliver, Janice Willis, Debbie Jones, Paula Willis, Lionel Willis Jr., Shannon Willis, and Todd Willis; son-in- law, Bill Machle; and beloved aunts and uncles.

Martha grew up surrounded by extended family and spent many happy hours with them on Dawson Creek. She graduated from ECU in 1975 with a BS in Sociology. She was a member of New Bethlehem OFWB Church. She was a student of the Bible, loved music, nature, and art. She spent many happy hours fishing and enjoying the outdoors of Pamlico Co.

Her absolute and unwavering love and devotion to her family will be missed beyond measure. No one will be able to fill the shoes of “sister”.
