Martha Jean Cole Ireland, 82, of Lowland passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at home.

A woman of faith, Jean was a member of Lowland Church of Christ. She loved her community but loved her family above all else. She will be deeply missed as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ethel Cole; her husband, Curtis “Stakes” Ireland; her son, Jason Ireland; brothers, Wayne, Martin, Joseph, and Ronald Cole; and sister, Joan Hayes.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Curtis Clifton “Cliff” Ireland, Jr. (Linda); daughters, Michele McKay (Randy) and Julie Hannah (Jason); sisters, Amelia Player and Deanna Futch (Otis); eight grandchildren, Curtis Ireland III “C.J.”, Cody Benton, Beca Conmy (Jeff), Addie Atbakan (Alper), Allison Hannah, Jonathan Hannah, Christian Ireland, Hunter Ireland; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Laina Ireland; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor Jean’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 10th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Loveall and Rev. Earl Sadler, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Sandhill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
