Mary Willis Lee

Mary Willis Lee, 86, of Arapahoe passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Mary was a woman of faith and is a member of Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church. She retired from Wachovia Bank but her most treasured role in life was that of wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mary’s love and devotion to her family were unparalleled, her family meant the world to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Nellie Willis; infant daughter, Alvia Gail Lee; son, Jeffery Wayne Lee; three sisters; and two brothers.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 69 years, Alvie E. “Elmo” Lee, Sr.; sons, Mark Lee (Jeanette) and Alvie E. Lee, Jr. (Estelle “Sissy”); daughter-in-law, Tina Lee; sister, Iris Cowell; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor Mary’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, August 12th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Paul Cemetery, Arapahoe.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, August 11th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home.
