Mary "Maxine" Bennett Banks

Maxine was born June 28, 1953, in Ft. Benning, Georgia, but grew up in Stonewall, NC, where she also made her home and raised her family. She was the daughter of Max and Mary Bennett and sister to Michael Bennett. Maxine worked several jobs over the years but her greatest accomplishment was becoming "Nanny" to all.

Maxine was a dedicated member of Stonewall United Methodist Church where she served as member of committee boards and volunteered to help with different events held throughout the years. Maxine loved spending time with her family and friends. Her door was always open to everyone. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife and mother, and friend, always there to lend a helping hand or offer her advice.

Maxine leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her children, Willie Banks (Crystal) of Stonewall and Stephanie Henries (Michael) of Stonewall; seven grandchildren; and host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 23rd at 2:00pm at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
