Born in Queens, NY to Walter and Joan Olsen Golder, attended school in Queens graduating high school in 1973. He attended Farmingdale State College then attended Cornell University, graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor’s in food science. He worked for Coca-Cola in Maspeth and Rochester, NY for many years before moving to North Carolina in 2001 to escape winter. He then worked for The City of New Bern Wastewater Facility until his passing.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Christine; sisters, Jan (James) Hokenburg of Alburg, Vermont and Katherine Golder of Oyster Bay, NY; stepchildren, Logan and Ryan Multer White; two step-grandchildren; and in-laws, Robert & Nancy Multer.
He was known for his love of gambling, sense of humor and love of animals, especially cats.
An informal wake will be held at his residence on May 3 rd from 2 to 5 p.m. for friends and family.
