Myra Lewis Kennison

Myra Lewis Kennison, 89, of New Bern was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was a devoted and loving wife and mother who also loved being a Christian and loved her church and church family at Village Chapel Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lillie Lewis; husbands, William H. Moore, Carl Tisdale and Lloyd Kennison; daughters, Jane Hargett and Nancy Hazlett; sisters, Grace Alligood, Helen Fowler, and Francis Gaskill; granddaughter, Jillian Smith and Grandson, Timothy Moore.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Sarah Germann and husband, Don; son, Martin H. Moore and wife, Deidre; sister, Margie Miller; 10 grandchildren, Christopher Hargett, Andrea Clemmer, Daniel Hazlett, Andrew Moore, Gunner Moore, Brian Solock, Jason Germann, Jonathan Germann, Cameron Germann, and Darren Germann; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23 ^rd at Village Chapel Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow immediately in Bridgeton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, PO Box 690, Taylors, SC 29687.
