Pamela Jean Reich Eastwood

Pamela Jean Reich Eastwood, 76, of Fairfield Harbour, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at her home.

Pam was predeceased by her precious husband, Donald Eastwood. She is survived by sister, Deb Creech, of Raleigh, NC; brother-in-law, Bill Creech, of Raleigh, NC; brother, David Reich, of Clemmons, NC; nephew, Ben Reich of Charlotte, NC; niece Malanie Reich-Peake, of Winston-Salem, NC.; sister-in-law, Mary Babcock of Alexandria, VA; niece, Vickie O’Toole of Woodbridge, VA; nephew, Phillip H. Babcock of Alexandria, VA; and great-niece, Kelly O’Toole of Englewood, CO.

Pam was an alumni of UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science and a minor in Art History. She also earned a Masters' Degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in Public Health Administration. Pam's lifelong career choice was Human Resources. She served as a State of North Carolina employee in excess of 30 years as well as serving as Human Resources Director for the Town of Chapel Hill before retiring.

Pam's lifelong love of art began when she sold her first commissioned painting at age 14. She was born and raised as a Moravian at the Bethabara Moravian Church, in Winston-Salem, NC. After marrying her husband of 50 years, Don Eastwood, their lives were filled with a love of sailing, travel, and lifelong friendships. Upon retirement they moved to their dream home in Fairfield Harbour in New Bern, NC. Their spirits will remain in the many hearts that touched them during their many years there.

A memorial will be planned at a later date to allow for travel by her many friends, and family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777, New York, NY 10163.
