Paul Junior Miller, 92, of Oriental, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 13th, 2026, at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern.
Paul lived a long and meaningful life rooted in service, community, and a deep love for the coastal waters he called home. A proud resident of Oriental, he was known by many as a steady presence and a friendly face, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a story.
A proud United States Army veteran, Paul carried a lifelong sense of duty and patriotism that was evident in the way he lived and served others. He was deeply involved in his community, dedicating countless hours to organizations he cared about. Paul was an active member of the Oriental Rotary Club and served faithfully with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. His commitment to service reflected his generous spirit and his desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Paul found great joy on the water. Whether boating or fishing, he was most at peace surrounded by the beauty of the sea. As a member of the Sailing Club of Oriental (SCU), he shared his passion for sailing with friends and fellow enthusiasts, forming lasting bonds along the way.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Paul and Amanda Miller; his devoted wife, Nancy Miller; and his son, Mitchel Miller.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kelly Miller; his daughter-in-law, Trudy Martin: his grandson, Jacob Paxton and wife Cori: his step grandchildren, Heather Shaffer and Mitchell Carder Jr.: and his great grandchildren, Reese and Ryan Paxton.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Monday, May 18th, 2026, at Daniels- Sadler Funeral Home.
