Paul Ronald Yurko, Jr.

Paul R. Yurko, Jr., 61, of Arapahoe passed away at home with family following an extended illness.

Paul was a commercial fisherman for most of his life, working as a lobsterman in New Jersey, until 1992 when he relocated to North Carolina to work as a crabber. An avid hunter and fisherman, Paul was happiest on the water with a fishing pole in hand.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul Yurko and youngest brother, Mark Yurko.

He is survived by his daughter, Lacey Yurko of Pensacola, FL; his mother, Pamela Yurko of Arapahoe, NC; and his sister, Elizabeth Rodrigues of Barnegat, NJ.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Pamlico County Fishes and Loaves Outreach, PO Box 771, Oriental, NC 28571.
