Philip Allen Rawls, Jr., 65, of Oriental passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at home.

Phil loved the Lord first and foremost and is a member of Trent FWB Church. Another passion in life was fishing. He is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and past Salvation Army Cadet.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Britt Rawls and brother, Jonathan Kester Rawls.

Phil leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Linda Williams Rawls; daughter, Bethany Rawls Taylor (Jamison), parents, Philip “Phil” and Betty Rawls; sister, B.J. Hamby (Lance); brother, Chris Rawls (Dawn); and a lot of loved nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor Phil’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 31st at Trent FWB Church with the Rev. Ray Griffin officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church.
