Phillip Howard Martin, 78, of Olympia, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Phillip was a faithful member of Bridgeton Christian Church and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ taking great joy in daily studies of His word. He dedicated 27 years of service to NADEP at Cherry Point before retiring. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, but above all else, his family was the center of his life. He will be remembered for his steady presence, devotion to those he loved, and the many memories he created with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Sarah Martin; brother, W.D. Martin, Jr.; and sisters, Sarah Potter, Betty Jean Martin, and Linda Sawyer.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Janice Martin; daughter, Paula Martin Moore and husband, David; son, Hugh Daniel Martin and wife, Terri; sisters, Rebecca Martin and Diane Locklear; and his beloved grandchildren, Cason Brinson, Jordan, Hunter, Parker, and Emory Martin, Kayce James, and Derrick James (Christine).

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 25th at Holton Family Cemetery on Bayleaf Rd. in Olympia.
