Phillip “Phil” Stephen Scott, 74, of Reelsboro passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Phillip graduated from Pamlico County High School in 1968 and attended North Carolina State University.

A faithful Christian, he is a member of New Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church where he was the worship leader. Phil co-owned and operated Phil Scott Appliance before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Moore Scott and Evelyn Pipkin Scott Gaskins and his brother, Larry Scott, Jr.

Affectionately known as Dad, Pop and Babe. Phillip leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Susan Scott; daughters, Grace Mason (Jonathan) and Kim Richards (Tony); his sister, Mary Alice Waters (Charles); sister-in-law, Rosalie Scott; and his cherished grandchildren, Samantha Seals (Mo), Blake Mason and Marley Richards.

A funeral service to honor Phillip’s life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30th at New Bethlehem FWB Church with the Rev. Ashley Trogdon officiating. Interment will follow immediately in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to New Bethlehem FWB Church Cemetery Endowment Fund c/o Scottie Whitford, 1903 Scott Store Rd., Grantsboro, NC 28529.
