Randolph Earl Watson, Jr. “Randy,” age 64, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2022, at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, NC. Born July 26, 1957, he was a native of Bayboro,NC in Pamlico County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.E. and Virginia Watson.

He is survived by his significant other, Rebecca Roush; son, Daniel Mercer Watson; grandchildren, Malachi and Izabella Watson; sister and brother in-law, Fran and Larry Englert from Matthews, NC; and their three adult children, niece, Jenna and nephews, Josh and Peter Englert.

Randy graduated from Pamlico County High School and afterwards worked with his father at the Sears Store in Alliance, NC.

Born with cerebral palsy he walked on crutches for most of his life as well as operated a motorized scooter and drove a modified van. He had many physical limitations but was never defined by them. He lived life to the fullest and gathered many good friends along the way.

He loved all things NASCAR and was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home in Alliance, NC on June 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at New Bern Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Randy’s memory to the Pamlico County Shrine Club, P.O. Box 201, Grantsboro, NC 28529, which provides specialized pediatric care to children with orthopedic conditions.
