Rebecca Faye Martin

Rebecca Faye Martin, 83, of New Bern, went to live with the Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Rebecca, also known as Faye, was a kind and gentle soul who loved people.

Faye will be remembered as someone who was deeply loved and who gave love freely. Her kindness, gentle spirit, joyful personality, and love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Martin of Olympia; her brothers, W. D. Martin Jr. (Joan) of Ernul and Phillip Martin of Olympia; and her sisters, Betty Jean Martin of Olympia, Sarah Potter (Earl) of New Bern, and Linda Sawyer (Carrol) of Merritt.

She is survived by her sister, Diane Locklear of Vanceboro; her sister-in-law, Janice Martin of Olympia; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private graveside service.
