Richard Moore Roberts, Sr.

Rev. Richard Moore Roberts, Sr., 87, of Grantsboro passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at home.

He ministered in surrounding area churches for 38 years and was a lifetime member of the Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar & Lillie Roberts; two grandsons, Joshua and Johnny Roberts; and sister, Betty Baldree.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Susie Roberts; son, Ricky Roberts and wife, Mary, of Mappsville, Va; daughter, Debbie Rowe of Grantsboro; daughter, Patricia Toler of Grantsboro; sister, Peggy Lee and husband, Mike, of Arapahoe; grandchildren, Matthew(Jen), Jennifer, Jenny, Jared, Sarah, Laura, Kamen, Genia & Morgan; and great-grandchildren, Carly, Ledarius, Ryleigh, Brayden, Sonny, Trae, Gage and Sylus.

His memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 19 ^th at Arapahoe FWB Church with the Rev. Ricky Miller officiating.  Inurnment will be in Cayton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives immediately following the service at the church.
