Richard Wilmont Voliva, Jr.

Richard Wilmont Voliva, Jr., 74, of Vandemere passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He retired from Weyerhaeuser after 40 years and enjoyed time spent fishing. Richard had a good heart, always helping others at any opportunity.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Voliva; brothers, John Leslie Voliva and Paul Grady Voliva; and stepdaughter, Laura Barnes Caraway.

Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 42 years, Mary Lou Voliva; sons, Stephen Anthony Voliva and Richard Christopher Voliva (Candie); stepchildren, David Gerald Barnes (Tracy) and Sharen A. Barnes; five grandchildren, Billy Johnson (Kalene), Nick Alex Barnes (Jocelyn Figueroa), Joshua S. Barnes, Krystian L. Howe (Jay), and Robert Kyle Barnes; and two great-grandchildren.

Services may be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to a charity or organization of your choice.
