Rita Voliva Lupton, 83, of Hobucken passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at ECU Health-Greenville.

She retired from Pamlico County Senior Services after 30+ years of service.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Wera Voliva; her husband, William Derwood Lupton; and siblings, Garbo, Musa, and Tucker Voliva.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Teal Sadler (Doran) and Wendy Honeycutt; son, Alton Derwood Lupton; sisters, Bertie Bowen and Nina Jarvis; grandchildren, Erica Mitchell (Parker), Nicole Ecker (John), Doran Sadler (Stephanie), Teal Sadler, Dylan Hardy, Glenn Lupton, and Savannah Lupton; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt Young, Rivers Mitchell, Kennedy Mitchell, Lily Ecker, Morgan Spain, Ayrca Hardy, and Riley Lupton.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Sadler, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Barnett Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
