Roy Hughes Buck, Jr.

Roy Hughes Buck, Jr., 65, of Grantsboro passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He is a member of Reelsboro Pentecostal Holiness Church. He retired from PCS Phosphate after 42 years of service. Roy Jr. combined his love of food with his love of travel and would center their family trips around places to eat. Foremost in his heart was his family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Arthur.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Wanda B. Buck; son, Roy “Hugh” Buck III and wife, Nichole; parents, Roy and Jackie Buck; granddaughter, Taylor Buck; brother, Ronnie Buck and wife, Cindy; sisters, Ruthie Lee and husband, Ronnie, and Lisa Smith and husband, Todd; and brother-in-law, J.R. Barker and wife, Kathy.

His funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10 ^th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alan Woodard officiating. Entombment will be in Greenleaf Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends and relatives following social distancing guidelines and while wearing masks, from 5 to 6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Reelsboro Pentecostal Holiness Church, 221 Neuse Rd., New Bern, NC 28560.
