Salona "Sally" Jensen Mccotter

Salona “Sally” Jensen McCotter, 89, of Vandemere passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehab Center.

A devoted Christian she is a member of Vandemere United Methodist Church where she played the piano for 60+ years. She was born in a covered wagon on an Indian Reservation, raised in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, she moved to Pamlico County in 1955 where she raised her family.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; and two sisters.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Kim Whorton (Kenny), David McCotter (Jackie), and Johnny Warren (Christina); sister, Madelyn Bronson; grandchildren, Christian McCotter, Jennifer McCotter, Stacey Weible, Jessica Kramer, Ashley Warren, Spencer Warren; and great-grandchildren, Christoff, Maximilian, Christian R., Jr., and Gabriel McCotter, Jonathan Gaskill, Savannah, Madelyn, Nora, and Warren Weible, and Olivia Kramer.

Her memorial service will be held11:00 a.m., Friday, December 29th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
