Sharon Kemp Whitford

Sharon Kemp Whitford, age 67, departed this earthly life on Friday, February 16, 2024 at CarolinaEast Medical Center, New Bern, NC. She left her loved ones with the assurance of her eternal life with her Savior.

She was born in Fairfax County, VA, the daughter of Clayton and Jean Soria Kemp.

Sharon attended VPI & SU, and was a North Carolina state employee in various positions for a number of years at the Correction Center in Bayboro as Court Advocate, and in Vanceboro Correction Center as a Clerk.

She is survived by daughter; Elizabeth Ann Snapp, son; James M. Snapp, Jr., brother; Barrett Kemp, sister; Deborah Park, and grandson; James M. Snapp, III.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert S. Whitford, her parents, and brother, Clayton Kemp, Jr.

A Memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
