Shaun Aaron Mccarthy

Shaun Aaron McCarthy “Sam”, 48, of New Bern passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, October 5, 2018. He was born August 2, 1970 in Erie, PA to Bernard and Diana McCarthy, the youngest of their five children.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including his wife and best friend, Dana Mills McCarthy; daughters, Abigail and Hannah; his father; brothers and sisters; along with extended family and countless friends whose lives he touched.

“Sammy” proudly served in the Navy Seabees and volunteered with various fire departments, EMT’s, Rescue Squads and other organizations that helped others. It was his passion and life’s work.
