Sheri Lynda Stillion, 1953-2025 was raised in Freeport, Ohio where she was adored by her maternal grandparents, Rose and Coleman Armstrong. As a teenager her family moved to Canton, Ohio where she spent the majority of her life.
The beloved and loving mother of her sons, Kenneth Coleman and Todd Michael, longtime companion of Deb McGee and beloved aunt of SueAnn, TeeTee and Tony, and their children.
Sheri’s compassionate and resolute nature served her well as a social worker who met the needs of the senior population she served. She excelled in her calling and rarely considered it as a job, more of a mission.
In retirement Sheri loved camping and going to the Outer Banks “OBX” as much as possible. Born a “Yankee” she quickly became a true North Carolinian, living in a home she loved and helped to rebuild after the ravages of Hurricane Irene.
Sheri cherished the quiet country life, especially the unexpected sightings of bears, bobcats, deer, fox and birds. She had an innate ability to rescue all creatures, large and small, especially cats. Both of her sons possess her fondness for cats and her passion for cooking
She fought a valiant health battle for years. After receiving all three types of therapy for kidney failure, she made the honorable decision to cease treatment.
She will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know and love her.
