Susan Smith Ireland, 71, of Reelsboro, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
She retired after 30 years of service with the Craven County School System.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jerry A. Ireland; children, Douglas (Lisa) Soltow, Jr., John (Karen) Soltow, Steven (Brandy) Soltow, and Terri I. (Tommy) Southard; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
