Symantha "Sam" Nobles Lowery

March 16, 1974 — January 19, 2026

Grantsboro

***In lieu of information has been updated***

Symantha Ann Nobles Lowery, 51, of Grantsboro, left her earthly body on January 19, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Earl Nobles and Terry Elizabeth Cuthrell Nobles; her baby brother, Fred Jason Nobles “Teddy Bear”; her younger cousin, Sampson Bruce Cuthrell; and her beloved husband, William Loahford Lowery.

Symantha leaves behind her older brother, Ervin Jessie Nobles “E.J. or J-Bird” and wife, Serina Nobles; two nieces, Savannah and Terry Alexis “Lexi” Burke; grandnieces and grandnephews, Baylee, Nolon, Chase, Swannie, Waylon, Lettie, Lahin, and LaRailee; and her only son who doubled as her “twin” and best friend, Jonathon Tyler Lowery.

Symantha, more commonly known as Sam, was well known across Pamlico County from her younger years after graduating PCHS in the class of 1992, to her many years of providing service and smiles to the customers of Pinedale Food Mart. Later in life she worked at the Pamlico Pharmacy, followed by the last five years of working at the Pamlico County Water Department. Symantha was a shining beam of positivity and happiness in the lives of everyone she met.

A Celebration of Life will be held for her at Faith Free Will Baptist Church on Sand Hill Rd. in Olympia on February 3, 2026. There will be a small potluck style lunch for family and close friends beginning at 11 a.m. followed by a public visitation from noon to 1:00 p.m., with the Celebration of Life beginning at 1 p.m. If she in any way brightened your life, both her and I (her son Johnny) would be honored to see you there.

~ I personally would like to thank all those who have shared their condolences with me and the family. As for my beautiful mother Symantha, I believe if she had one last thing to say to you all it would be that she loved everyone in this county and “for y’all to make sure you pay that water bill on time.” ~Johnny
