Terry Lee Scott, 71, of Grantsboro passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018, at home, surrounded by his family and friends.
He founded Scott Plumbing & Heating in 1974 and was instrumental in building and beginning The Gardens of Pamlico. As a former commercial fisherman, he enjoyed boating and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton & Velma Scott.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Teresa Miller Scott; children, Teresa Scott Cahoon (Bobby), Shawn Scott (Lisa), and Selena Scott Johnston (David); sister, Susie Banks; seven grandchildren, Angela Cahoon, Ryan Cahoon, Brittany Cahoon, Tiffany Dunbar, Jeffrey Caton, Jenny Scott and Clay Johnston; and 15 great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 19 th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow immediately in New Bethlehem FWB Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
