Thomas Alexander Deaton, known by family and friends as Xander-Man, age 29, passed away on September 24, 2019 at 7:33 in the morning.
Xander was known by everyone for his kind and gentle spirit, his sly smile, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a passion for everything outdoors, but his favorite pastime was undoubtedly fishing.
Xander is survived by his parents, John and Karen, his brothers, Matthew and Stephen, his sister Hayley, his sister-in-law whom he loved like a sister, Jolina, his nieces, Madyson and Pearly Wog (as Xander called her), and his Grandmother, Doris Harris.
His family is comforted by the knowledge that Xander is finally at peace and in the arms of God and all of his family in Heaven. A memorial service to celebrate Xander’s life will be held Sunday September 29 at 5:30pm on the waterfront in Oriental, NC (Lou Mac Park) near one of Xander’s favorite fishing spots. Family and friends are welcome to come and remember his sweet soul that is gone all too soon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the New Beginnings program through Hope Clinic. Checks are made to Hope Clinic, with New Beginnings in the memo line. Hope Clinic, PO Box 728, Bayboro, NC 28515.
