Trula Hopkins Tunstall, 72, of Edward, NC passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehab Center.

Trula’s deep-rooted commitment to her community was remarkable. She was known to provide many widows and families with groceries and help, by giving selflessly of her time and finances. Trula attended Meeting Place Church until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Amy Hopkins; husband, Tommy Tunstall; brothers, Vernon, Wilson, Becton, and Ray Hopkins; and sisters, Thora Brothers and Stella Ross.

Trula will be deeply missed by her brother, Wiley “Bud” Hopkins (Taffy); sisters, Jackie Lowder and Sylvia Buck; sister-in-law, Diane Whelan (Harry); brother-in-law, Joe Tunstall (Crystal); and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, December 1st, at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow immediately in Watson Cemetery, Lowland.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
