Vivian Mooring Jones

Vivian M. Jones, 83, of Bridgeton, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was a member of Bridgeton Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years. She loved the Lord with her heart and soul. She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her sister, Mary M. Duzan of New Bern; her six children and their spouses, Cathy (Donald) Wells, Jack (Martha) Jones, Jr., Donna (Tony) Latorre, Nellie Smithwick, Janice (Willie, Sr.) Grant, and Phillip (Karen) Jones. She was a grandmother to 20; great grandmother to 40; and has numerous nieces, nephews and family.

She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother as well as everyone’s friend. She knew no strangers, only love.

Her graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 12 ^th at New Bern Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Dixon officiating. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and face masks are required.
